As a requestor, you can help the process run smoothly in a few ways:
- Familiarize yourself with DOES' Core IT Hardware Offerings. Have conversations with your program to confirm the items needed
- Keep a close eye on your email inbox and be sure to respond back to requests for additional information. Even a quick “I need to talk to my supervisor” or “I need to talk to my team” helps OIT know to keep a request active
- Have a plan for which funding sources you might want to use for the purchase. Hardware such as laptops or monitors requires the use of the 717100C account family. Accessories and peripherals such as headsets, docks, can potentially use the 711100C account family in addition to the 717100C account family. Software, depending on how it is purchased, might be able to use 713100C, 713200C, or 717100C. As part of this process OIT will validate the attributes with OCFO
- Let us know how we can improve this process! We can’t necessarily accommodate all requests, but we want to know what you’re experiencing and what we might be able to do differently
